Expansion of the Hamburg railway node, centred on the new S-Bahn line S4 connecting Hamburg-Altona with Ahrensburg/Bad Oldesloe on dedicated S-Bahn tracks. Also includes upgrades to the Verbindungsbahn (the central rail corridor through Hamburg). Aims to relieve one of Germany's busiest and most congested rail nodes.
