Route SelectedTarget completion: Dez. 2045A cross-border new-build line between Dresden and Prague, centred on a roughly 25 km base tunnel through the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains). The project would halve the Dresden–Prague travel time and establish a competitive rail connection between central Germany and the Czech Republic. Currently in early planning with joint German-Czech feasibility studies.
